Cleaning instructions

Keeping your lenses clean will make a huge difference to how comfortable they feel.
Wearing times will improve
Vision will remain clearer
Your eyes will appear brighter

Each lens material requires a slightly different routine:

Traditional higher water content (50%+) lenses like Acuvue, Surevue and F55 can absorb solutions if your not careful, with this in mind we recommend cleaning (Rub and Rinse) with saline trials have shown this gets rid of 99% of the bacteria that comes out of your eye when you remove your lenses.
Using cleaning/soaking solution can result in sensitivity problems as your rubbing the solution into the lens strucuture.

The newer Silicone Hydrogel lenses like Acuvue Advance and Purevision are low water content (25%) so much less absorbent. This material requires more cleaning as sleepies, protein etc can stick to the lens surface more easily.
So for these we recommend cleaning with cleaning/soaking solution such as Renu or Synergi

Always wash hands with simple type soap and rinse soap off thoroughly.
Dry hands with the most threadbear old towel you can find ( New towels tend to be covered in light fluff which tends to get all over your lenses if not careful )

Soak both kinds of lenses overnight in soaking solution

Soak both kinds of lenses in saline in the morning while you get dressed

Clean contact lens pots , place open on draining board, boil a kettle and pour boiling water over case, shake and allow to air dry
